Ceiling Fit
Slide to your ceiling height. We take each loft and bunk's overall frame height, assume the mattress top sits 5″ below the rail (the safety rule working as intended), and ask for 34″ of sitting headroom above it. The working is shown, so you can redo it with a tape measure.
Standard US ceilings run 96″; older homes and basements often 84″.

A catalogue we keep checked
Prices on this site carry the date we last updated them, and a frame we have not priced in the current update says so instead of guessing. When a design is out of stock we mark it Currently unavailable rather than hiding it, because a catalogue that only shows what is in stock is an advert, not a reference.
Specifications are the maker’s own: stated weight ratings, published dimensions, declared materials. Where a number would need our arithmetic rather than the brand’s own figure, the guide that uses it shows the working.
Elevated beds have rules, and they are not ours
Bunks and lofts in the US are governed by a federal standard, and the paediatric bodies add guidance of their own: guardrails both sides up top, no children under 6 on the upper deck, the ladder and nothing else for getting down. We read the sources and cite them properly.
Space-saving steel furniture, specified properly
A loft bed is a trade: you give up easy sheet changes and get back roughly a desk’s worth of floor. Whether that trade works in your room comes down to three numbers: ceiling height, deck height, and the sitting clearance above the mattress. From twin lofts to corner storage beds
